Lawrence Cotter, President

Mr. Cotter is the President for Capitol Media Group, the parent company of Apartment Home Living. Prior to his current role, Mr. Cotter was the Founder, CEO and President of Sandbox.com, an online Fantasy Sports provider. At Sandbox, Mr. Cotter sourced, negotiated and raised more than $25 million in venture capital from Paul Allen’s Vulcan Ventures, Time Warner, Next Generation Fund and others; steered overall company direction; led team of 110 employees including the direct management of sales, marketing and business development, which resulted in more than 8 million members and $20 million in online direct marketing revenue; and sourced, identified and negotiated asset sale to All Star Stats and NBC Universal. Prior to Sandbox, Mr. Cotter was the Director of Business Development and Franchising at Moovies, Inc. where he performed financial analysis and modeling, supporting the company’s overall strategy, resulting in a $3.0 million venture financing and a $36 million initial public offering; identified, negotiated and closed 18 acquisitions representing over 180 video store locations, 1.4 million members and $60 million in annual revenue; acquired and managed 53 franchise locations representing over 400,000 members and $10 million in annual revenue; and identified and facilitated negotiations with Video Update resulting in the sale of the company. Prior to Moovies, Mr. Cotter was a Senior Accountant at KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr. Cotter also pioneered the concept of an email alert system to recover lost and missing children for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Mr. Cotter holds Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, in accounting from James Madison University, where he was also awarded Alton Wheelock Scholarship for Most Outstanding Accountant. Mr. Cotter received his Certified Public Accountant from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1992.
Dick Weinberger, CPA, CFO

Mr. Weinberger is the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources for Apartment Home Living. In this capacity, he oversees all accounting, finance, and human resources for Capitol Media Group. Providing financial leadership to the Board of Directors and executive team regarding operational decisions, Mr. Weinberger focuses on increasing ROI and bottom line net profit through the budget process, financial modeling, and treasury management. In addition, he negotiates and maintains outside vendor contracts.
Mr. Weinberger previously served as CFO for one of the country’s largest privately owned, integrated healthcare companies. In this position, he sat on the Board of Directors, overseeing finance and the corporate treasury. His expanded role included managing key corporate operations, including oversight of Information Technology, at the company’s national headquarters in Austin, TX. Previously, Mr. Weinberger founded and operated his own public accounting firm for 18 years in Amarillo, TX, after his tenure as an Assistant Professor of accounting and taxation at West Texas A & M University in Canyon, TX. Mr. Weinberger is an accomplished lecturer having conducted numerous seminars and workshops for CPAs and tax professionals on federal income tax laws. During his residence in Amarillo, he was elected twice to the Amarillo Independent School District Board of Trustees in citywide elections serving a total of nine years and as President guided the passage of a $42 million bond issue.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from The University of Texas, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree cum laude in accounting, and a Master of Business Administration degree in management from West Texas A&M University.
Dean Jenks, Senior VP of Sales - National

Dean Jenks is the National Sales Officer for Apartment Home Living. In this capacity, Dean is responsible for national sales of AHL’s Blended Marketing program. Dean joined the company in 2004, as the Regional Vice President, where he was instrumental in the start-up and growth of several of the current Texas markets. In 2005, Dean was promoted to Senior Vice President, overseeing operations and sales activities of many of the current blended marketing plus catalog markets. Dean sits on the board of Apartment Home Living.
Prior to his current position, Dean spent 14 years as the North Texas Regional Director for The Apartment Guide, a subsidiary of Primedia Consumer and Enthusiast Media. During his time there, Dean was responsible for the total operations and sales for 6 cities with annual revenues in excess of $16 million a year. Mr. Jenks was responsible for the implementation and execution of all corporate strategies to insure revenue growth (print and internet), while maintaining top market share throughout his Region. Mr. Jenks joined the company as a Sales Representative and was promoted several times to ultimately lead the Dallas/Ft. Worth publication. Under his leadership and management, the publication grew to the largest revenue generating publication in the company and experienced year over year growth margins averaging over 25%.
Dean has been an active member of the national, state and local apartment associations for over 15 years. He is active within the Texas Apartment Association and the apartment associations for Greater Dallas and Tarrant County. Mr. Jenks is a current member of the AAGD Board of Directors and has served in this capacity for six years. Additionally, Mr. Jenks has been on numerous industry committees over the years and Co-Chaired the Technology Task Force Committee for two years.
Dean graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in management.

Kevin Ready, Chief Technical Architect and Strategist

Mr. Ready’s experiences prior to joining Apartment Home Living span both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. As a founding partner of Meridian Internet Services, Inc. Mr. Ready was instrumental in designing, branding, and managing a network of social networking communities which garnered nearly 1 million registered users.
During his time with Meridian, he was a key player in the creation of Meridian World Data, a leading provider of geographic data used in online and software applications. This company’s customers included Microsoft, the United Nations, PeopleSoft, General Motors, and numerous other governments and Fortune 500 businesses. Mr. Ready subsequently helped to negotiate MeridianWorldData’s acquisition by a private equity firm.
In technical roles, Mr. Ready spent parts of his career at Dell Computer Corporation and Toshiba Corporation. At Dell, he was responsible for a key software component used in the development and testing of new products designs, and their subsequent roll-out for factory production. Later, at Toshiba Corporation, Mr. Ready managed and was responsible for several multi million dollar software projects within the “Cell Broadband Engine” project, a joint venture between Sony, Toshiba, and IBM.
Cindi Bewley, Regional Vice President of West Texas

Cindi Bewley is Regional Vice President of West Texas. Mrs. Bewley lead our pioneer team and first market in Austin and now oversees our mature markets of Austin and San Antonio while growing our West Texas regions which spreads from El Paso to Laredo.
Prior to working with Apartment Home Living, Mrs. Bewley owned a Promotional Products company, Accessories Plus, specializing in promoting and marketing Apartment communities. She started her company after having developed strong relationships as the Sales Manager of For Rent in Austin. During her tenure at FRM, the Austin magazine experienced a $1.3 million dollar annual increase in revenue. Mrs. Bewley began her career in the Multi-Family industry in 1988 as a part time leasing representative with a local management company in Austin, Texas. She was promoted to VP of Marketing for the company, while simultaneously managing a portfolio of communities.
Ms. Bewley is married to a Captain in the Austin Fire Department, and they have two boys ages 11 and 9. Cindi has been an Olin Steele Awards (Top Supplier in Texas) nominee for the past five years for the Texas Apartment Association and was one of five finalist in 2007. Cindi now serves as a member of the TAA Products and Service Council as well as an Alternate for the Texas Apt. Association Board of Directors. She teaches CAM courses for the Austin Apartment Association and she is a certified instructor for the National Apartment Association Education Institute. She has served on the Austin Apartment Association Board of Directors for the Past 11 years, as well as serving as the 1999 Executive VP for the Products and Services Counsel. Cindi was the recipient of the President’s Award in 1999 for her achievements as a P & S Chair. She continues to serve in many capacities within the AAA and mentors many new suppliers in the industry.
Bewley and her family are members of the Lakeway Church and the Lake Travis Elementary School PTA where she volunteers her time and money to the growth of both. She enjoys vacationing with her family anywhere tropical to recharge which is why Cindi "Lives for the Beach. Live for Fun."
